Robert Dahlgren

Robert Dahlgren clinched the Formula Ford Great Britain championship title as a privateer in 2001. Prior to that, he competed in karting for the Italian CRG team. In the Formula 3 category, Dahlgren raced for Fortec Motorsport, Duma Racing, and Sweeney Racing, achieving several podium finishes. Now he races for CUPRA Sweden-PWR.

Dahlgren's talent caught the attention of Formula 1 teams such as Toyota F1, Renault F1, and Jordan Grand Prix. From 2004 to 2010, he contested in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) for Polestar Racing, piloting a Volvo C30 and Volvo S60. His best results included three second-place finishes overall (2004, 2007, and 2010), and he also secured victory in the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup in 2010.

Although he had sporadic appearances in the World Touring Car Championship, Dahlgren's team, Polestar Racing, committed to a full season with him as the driver in a Volvo C30 in 2011.

Later on Robert Dahlgren continued racing in STCC for CUPRA Sweden-PWR.

2021 Season: Record-breaking Success

Dahlgren claimed eleven victories and stood on the podium for 15 out of 18 races, making him the most successful driver in STCC history with a total of 46 wins. Team manager Marcus Ekström expressed his excitement over their achievements and decided to continue the partnership with Dahlgren for the 2022 season.

Dahlgren became the most successful STCC driver ever in 2022, with a total of 46 wins. In the previous year, he secured eleven victories, 15 podiums out of 18 races, and never finished lower than fifth – a feat unmatched in the championship's history.

In 2024, Dahlgren embarked on a new chapter in his career by debuting in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia. Despite this new challenge, he continued to compete for CUPRA Sweden-PWR in the STCC, showcasing his versatility and adaptability across different racing disciplines. Dahlgren's successful career in formula racing, including a title in British Formula Ford, along with his experience in touring cars with brands like Cupra, Volvo, and Seat, solidified his reputation as one of the most respected and experienced drivers in the field.

As the STCC season kicks off in June 2024, Dahlgren remains a key figure in CUPRA Sweden-PWR, where his expertise and skill have propelled the team forward. With a combination of technical prowess, strategic driving, and strong teamwork, CUPRA Sweden-PWR and Dahlgren have set a high standard for success in the STCC.
